What we’re trying to do is figure out a way so that cities can expand. We’re not anti-expansion, anti-economic growth, but we don’t want cities to expand at the cost of drying up farmland. Because these farms are the lifeblood of a lot of these communities.

Because of all of my reading of history, when you look at any crisis, there are winners that come out. There will be winners that come out of this crisis and things are going to change. So why not be the winner? Why not make rural America the winner? Because somebody’s gonna win.
