“It was a huge risk, because essentially you’re walking away from stability, you’re walking away from what several people grow up thinking they want. On paper I had it made and I was in a leadership role at a young age. I knew, though, I was in this left brain role as a director of operations and I’m such a right brain person. And what ultimately led me to look for flower shops was the realization I had to do something creative, and I had to be with people.”

“Working with flowers is fun, and working with people is the most rewarding, to know you were part of people’s life moments in the best way we can be in the role that we serve in the community.”

“What would you do if you knew you could not fail?”

“Success to me is having a collaborative group here in town of who, you start talking, you become friends and trusted advisers of each other because you trust each other. So suddenly there’s a relationship there. That’s success because then we can build this community together.”
