Today's guest blog post is from Kim Brown. Kim is the owner of Restored Nutrition, a fruit and juice bar that recently opened in downtown Sumner.

Restored Nutrition opened up for business on September 24, 2022 and ever since then we have been overwhelmed with the amount of support from the community and the surrounding areas for our Herbalife meal replacement shakes and tea bombs.
I live in Readlyn, I learned about the Herbalife Nutrition business last spring from a close family friend who was starting on the nutrition products and business and thought that it might be something that I would be interested in as well.
His aunt had a Nutrition Club in Coralville, Iowa and he told me that they were amazing products. I was curious about it and at least wanted to give it a try, the timing was pretty much perfect! I had a little place I Readlyn and I had been in business for about 10 years, but things were slowing down, especially when Covid hit. I shopped in Sumner quite a bit and I was familiar with the downtown, and Sally Smith (of Maker’s Market) whom I had gotten to know quite well, strongly encouraged me to consider coming over to Sumner.
When I got serious about moving forward with starting Restored Nutrition in Sumner, Sally directed me to the perfect location. She contacted Holly Schemmel, the building owner, and it all came together. I chose Sumner because of the great flow of traffic in the downtown area and the shopping district that draws people into this community.
The space was a blank slate for me to customize it for the Shake and Tea Bomb business. My brother and my son constructed the bar area where we make our product, and a good friend and former teacher painted a beautiful mural to add to the space.
Restored Nutrition offers a wide variety of food meal replacement shakes and tea bombs. The shakes offer 24-30 grams of protein, 21 vitamins and nutrients, and are between 200-300 calories. The Tea Bombs are a clean form of energy, a metabolism booster, they help burn fat, help provide mental focus and clarity, and have minimal sugar. Tea Bombs come with a complimentary shot of aloe which helps soothe the digestive system and they also help absorb the vitamins and nutrients that you’re taking in from the tea.
I am a wellness coach, we offer 3 day power packs to our customers who may be looking for a new direction, this gives them the opportunity to try the products at home on their health journey, and this is also a very important of the Herbalife business. We offer a wide variety of flavors of shakes and Tea Bombs. Each month we offer featured flavors based on the time of year, holidays, and festivities.
We also sell Restored Nutrition cups and we also have Loyalty Cards. Recently, we started doing fundraising events where a portion of the proceeds that we raise goes back to the local organization. We have done fundraising for the Tripoli Student Leadership Scholarship and for Hillcrest Living Community. We will be doing one in March to raise funds for a friend of my sons, whose Dad was diagnosed with ALS this past fall.
Fundraising is very important to me and it is a great way to give back to the community who has been so incredibly supportive of my business. We are beyond grateful for the amount of support that we have received from everyone. It has been a great five months and we look forward to serving this community for many more years to come!
